twigtastic.

it's always hard for me to take down christmas decorations each year and be faced with the bareness of the house and the coldness of winter.  it's like all the christmas warmth gets packed away and the house feels less lively, like it's just waiting for spring to come too.

but this year it was a little bit easier for me to pack up the christmas decor in our dining room because i had these guys to put out: 

i found these gorgeous branch candle holders at crate and barrel and mom and dad surprised me with them christmas morning!  i think they are so neat and the perfect fit for our rustic dining room.

i love that they're simple and they're seasonless, so you can do as much or as little with them as you want.  right now i'm loving their raw rusticity amidst our bare winter landscape.  

(but i'm still looking happily ahead to when i can put a big 'ole vase 

of spring wildflowers on the table!)
