What it's all about

i love the fair!!!!

it's true.
i absolutely love the fair.
it's a big slice of americana right smack dab in the middle of the country, and it's perfection.

we say we like to go to the fair to "people watch".
but the truth is, we go to the fair for two reasons.
the first, and most important reason, is:

to eat.
we go in with a mission.
consume as much food as possible, in as short an amount of time as possible.
(if you take your time, you get full, and then you can't keep eating!)
(gross!)
(by gross i mean amazing!)

spot amazing dinner special- check.

get down to business on some sweet corn- check.

make that a double check.

post dinner corn dog? check.

funnel cakes and deep fried nutty butty bars? check.

deep fried nutty butty bars.
in case you missed that.
i think i'm spelling butty wrong.
anyway...

pretty sure that's a bucket of fries in billy's hand...
so check.

we get 'em started young...

mission accomplished? i think so.

also, mom is on a diet and i think made it through this fried food frenzy totally clean, so props to you mom.

you're pretty.

now, the second reason we go to the fair is because, well:

we're rednecks.
hey, we've got a little redneck running through us just like anybody else.

and frankly, things like this get me excited:

awesome raffle prize #1- freezer full of meat.
actual type of meat is still in question.
awesome raffle prize #2- bring home the bacon.
that's right- two whole pounds of bacon to the lucky winner.

i mean really, what more could you want?

i know.

billy joe murphy being the most entertaining man alive to compete in fair games:

you better believe he shattered that bottle.
and maybe pulled a hamstring...

it was worth the five bucks just to watch him try this!

what's that?
you want more?

how about an airbrushed onesie for your infant?
i know what you're thinking.
PERFECT.

now do you see why i look forward to the fair every year?
buckets of fun, i tell you.

he's handsome.
mmm ice cream cone...

i even wore my jean shorts.
thanks for the memories, cochranville fair!

Love it. I am so glad you nixed the wolf onesie
and went with a personalized one instead. ;) Much classier.

I am totally cracking up! MoCo fair is one of the highlights of my summer, except I feel like it's a total fake-out fair. Yours is the real-deal! I'm sorry you didn't win the freezer of meat...better luck next year!
