sometimes i am holding him and i look down and think "how did he get this big!!?" he is starting to look like a little boy and not a tiny baby. this simultaneously makes my heart melt and break. it's such a joy to watch him grow and such a sadness to accept that his tiny baby days are passing by so quickly!
this month finn has really been learning and changing a lot, and he's really starting to get a little personality on him. he's a very content baby overall, and many people tell us how blessed we are to have such an easy going baby.
finn can roll over both ways now, from tummy to back and from back to tummy. he rolled over from tummy to back for the first time in a fit of rage on john and whitney's floor last week while whitney was cutting my hair. he was screaming and i couldn't get up because i was getting my hair cut, and the next thing i knew he had flipped himself over. and he's been doing it ever since!
he is also doing a really good job of holding his head up now, which he was slower at mastering because, let's face it, the kid has a big 'ole head.
he loves to talk and coo, and smiles easily.
he loves to stand up if you hold his waist for him. his chunky little legs are sturdy!
he is also doing better every day at napping in his crib (for a couple of hours!) and sleeping in his bed at night. normally after i get up to feed him around 4 i bring him back to bed with us, because our favorite time with him is in the morning (he's just so happy and snuggly!)
some of finn's favorite things right now are:
touching faces...
mr. fox...
and his cousins...
here are some of my favorite pictures from this month:
it seems like yesterday he looked more like this...
it's definitely going by entirely too fast!
i just love him so very much and am so happy that i get to be his mommy!
happy four months finn!

You are blessed with this child but parenting is hard word and you and Billy are wonderful at it.
Your blog reminds me of the book I bought to write a letter almost everyday to Zach to give to him when he was 16 ( never thought to do it for the girls). I am happy I took the time to do it but sad he never got to read it, although I did put it in with him.
I love your blog, I love your wee family and I LOVE you Sweetness!!!
I LOVE the pic of Finn looking at Tuck! Oh and all of the Mr. Fox pictures. So cute!
