What it's all about

building things.

we are fortunate enough to have had two different family members offer us cribs for our new arrival!

we loved both of them, but ended up deciding on the one that was closest to us in proximity... just a drive down the street to billy's sister's house instead of to virginia.

we know it's a little early to be putting a crib together, but the baby room was empty and we figured some furniture is better than none.

saturday billy picked up two brand new mattresses for the day bed so we have plenty of extra room for company, and then he got cracking on putting together the crib!

(p.s. i scored that brand new swing at my shop for $25... couldn't pass it up!)

isn't he cute?

he did such a great job!

the crib has a matching four drawer dresser with a changing table top that we'll bring over in the future.  we love that the wood matches the day bed perfectly!

we haven't hung any art yet, but i arranged how i wanted it hung on the walls in the corner by plotting it out on the crib, so billy will get the hint :)

we are super excited for the upcoming week because our friend john is coming to visit from wilmington, and then my cousin jessica is coming up for the weekend with her husband and two kids!  it will be our first "real" company!  we are also hoping that they will help the week go by fast because, i have to admit, despite what i said before, I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY ULTRASOUND NEXT MONDAY!   ahhhhh!!!!!

let's just hope baby murphy isn't shy! :D

Also, I am soooooooo excited for your u/s appointment. Drink a teensy bit of something caffeinated or eat something sugary ... or do both, like I did. ;) EEP!

I'm with Tricia...drink a glass of orange juice or something. Both my kids were super annoyed that I was waking them up! LOL
